One of the most renowned organizations in Rocket League, with a World Championship and a vast level of dominance sustained over time, Dignitas is once again a favourite heading into LA.

In Fall, Dignitas were strong regionally, combining world champion Scrub Killa with rising players ApparentlyJack and Joreuz to place 2nd in Europe, including an event 2 victory.

At LAN in Stockholm, it appeared that the largely unproven roster was an international powerhouse, as the team swept the swiss stage 9-0 and looked bound for success. Yet this only ended in heart break as they fell in game 7 of the quarter finals to SMPR and a firing Archie, sending them home and wondering what could’ve been.

Regardless of the loss, Dig still came into the Winter Split as a heavy favourite, and certainly had to prove themselves. In regional 1, they barely scraped out of groups, before going on a lower bracket tear, including a perfect sweep of BDS, to 2nd place. In regional 2 they fell in groups again before placing 5th-6th, and in the final event, they came in at 2nd once again, securing the #2 Europe seed for the second straight split.

But the split was not without worrying signs. The team consistently took their time to get going in the split, dropping 3 series’ in groups, they at times looked disjointed, and the team seems to have a boogie man: Queso. In Winter, Team Queso’s speed and raw aggression defeated Dignitas a devastating 4 times throughout the split, with Dig unable to find any solution.

Going into LA, Dig has the ability to find themselves right up near the top again, particularly if Joreuz can maintain his jaw-dropping form from Stockholm. With arguably the easiest group in group D, Dignitas has a serious opportunity to win groups and lock in top 6 from the get go, setting themselves up for what could be a high placement. However, if teams can replicate Queso’s relentless offence, which all 3 of the teams in their group have the ability to do, Dig could find themselves on the back foot, and will need to be on the ball from the get go to find a strong placement.
