Melon And Trademrk Team Up

Following the completion of the RLO Swipe Series, speculation has already begun about the future of OCE Sideswipe. With all signs pointing towards a positive future for the scene in Sideswipe, preparations are already underway for upcoming events.

One of these teams is Melon/Trademrk, who recently announced their teaming up yesterday. Both players had solid results this season, with Trademrk coming 7th in 1s, as well as doing well early in the 2s tournament before his partner was banned, and Melon came 6th in 2s on the team ‘Gold Coast MelonChasers’

Initially, this may feel like a spur of the moment decision between two young prodigies looking to make a change to rise up the ranks. But this is a move that has been in the works since late December/early January, with the pair frequently playing ranked 2s together to build up their chemistry and team plays.

Although they haven’t played tournaments together, the information provided about their ranked success has been hugely positive, and with Trademrk’s wall like defence pair with Melon’s relentless offence, this lineup could certainly be pushing top 4, and even top 2, in the near future.
