In the 7 weeks of 1v1 events, one OCE player has stood tall above the rest, claiming victory in all 7 of the weeks. However, with the regular season finished, everyone is now on an almost level playing field heading into championship playoffs, with anything poised to happen. Here are our predictions for Tuesday's matches:

ree

Schmory Vs jordyryl:

If you ask Schmory to name a player that scares him, Jordy is likely to be the first one. His defensive play style and shooting ability has caused Schmory headaches in the past, however, early in the tournament, Schmory will be looking to stamp his mark on the playoffs, and will still be able to use his mental edge and superior mechanics to move on, 3-1.

trademrk. Vs Matro:

These two have only met once, and that was in a shock ro32 matchup in week 6 of the competition, which Matro took home 2-1. However, Trademrk was coming off a week of personal matters that resulted in a lack of training, and has overall looked to be the more consistent 1s player than Matro, who has the tendency to over commit on offensive plays and be faked out in defence, which despite his incredibly strong mechanics, will guide Trademrk to a tight 3-2 victory.

OceaN Vs Lacasa-De-Papel:

Ocean carries season best form coming into the championship playoffs, having achieved his first ever top 4 in week 7, whereas De-Papel's performance has waned since his week 2 2nd place. The pair even played in the quarter finals last week, where OceaN produced a sweep victory, which is likely to be the case again here with a 3-0 clean victory.

Deathlikepeak87 Vs Scarth:

Both players have been staples of the OCE 1v1 competitive scene, and would be seen by many as the main competitors to Schmory's throne. Although Scarth has been on an upward trend since the start of Swipe Series, and Peak had his first off week last event, the 2-0 record in favour of Peak is still definitely telling, and despite promising to be a close matchup, our pick is that Peak's gold shot shooting ability will be just enough to get himself over the line.

jordyryl Vs trademrk.:

Two young prodigies who have spent the latter half of the season focusing solely on 1s means that this match is sure to be an exhibition of high level play and ability. No matter what, this series will be a tight one, but Jordy's form in recent weeks has been very strong, and with confidence in his game behind him, should be enough to guide him through a very closely fought 3-2.

OceaN Vs Scarth:

Ocean's form may be solid, but there's a difference between taking down De-Papel, and standing up to Scarth. Scarth not only has a lot more experience on the big stage, which will help keep his nerves in check whilst the young gun Ocean may be flustered by the opportunity, but his 1s game also has less cracks in it, which will make it extremely difficult for Ocean to find the net and should result in a somewhat comfortable series for Scarth.

Schmory Vs Scarth:

A matchup as old as time, with these two having already faced 5 times in 1s before. Unfortunately for Scarth, not a single one of those have gone his way, and this series isn't likely to be anything different, with championship Schmory set to show up big time against his rival and make a big statement with a 3-0 sweep.

jordyryl Vs Deathlikepeak87:

Jordy and Peak most recently faced off in week 6 of the event, which resulted in a 2-0 win for Jordy. Although both are very strong players and 2-time finalists, Jordy has looked far stronger in recent weeks, losing two tight series' to Schmory in weeks 6 and 7, thus providing enough reason for us to pick Jordy for the win over Peak to advance to grands.

Schmory Vs jordyryl:

Going back to where it all started, we have the upper round 1 rematch. Jordy has caused Schmory issues in the past, and you can bet your house that we will see a similar occurrence in this series. There's so many aspects of the matchup that could change the outcome, be that who has the advantage on kickoffs, whether Schmory can get the mental edge with his fakes over Jordy, or if Schmory will overcommit on the ball like we witnessed a few times when Jordy nearly made the comeback against him in week 6. Regardless of the scoreline, this series would be a perfect way to cap off the season, but our prediction is for Schmory to find a way to come out on top, once again, as he has done time and time again throughout the season.
