Team Liquid Controversially Provided Exemption Into Regional Event 3

As we all know, RLCS has a required age of entry of 15, a rule which has been strictly followed in the past. Zen and team, including Endpoint superstar Seiko (who was of age), were banned from RLCS X due to Zen being underage, and prodigies like Daniel and Aqua recently had to wait until winter split to join RLCS.
After an incredibly mediocre start to their entrance into RLCS over RLCS X and the spring split, Team Liquid decided to almost entirely scrap their roster, only keeping on board the young, mechanical Portuguese star AcroniK on their active roster.
For his team mates, Team Liquid decided to bank on two 14 year old prodigies Atow and Oski, seemingly sitting out the winter split to focus on spring, effectively ending their worlds chances.
But controversially, it has now been brought to light that Team Liquid has been granted an exemption to the European open qualifiers for the 3rd regional event of the split, despite Oski and Atow both being underage when the open qualifiers are being held.
Although the reasoning for the exception is that Atow and Oski turn 15 on February 22nd and 23rd respectively, with main event starting on the 25th, it does have some inconsistencies with past choices. Namely, Lj and team Jamal Jabary forfeited their position in the RLCS X pre season Spring Series event, as it was revealed he turned 15 on the 3rd day of qualifiers.
Despite circumstances being slightly different, with Lj falsifying his age, whilst Oski and Atow have been open about theirs, it does present a slightly confusing situation, with two incredibly similar age players handled very differently.
Perhaps Team Liquid’s size was enough to convince Psyonix, or maybe this represents an experiment for potential new rules in the future. Whatever the reason is, it still provides us an exciting taste of Oski and Atow in RLCS as a precursor to their much anticipated spring split, and will hopefully help Liquid to turn a page on their otherwise measly RLCS history.
