Preparation
With Sideswipe only 2 months old, these few months have been very beneficial in deciding what direction Sideswipe goes.
With a blurred view, we do not have a clear picture of the future.
But one thing is for certain, people have loved the cash prize tournaments Psyonix has hosted.
That is one reason organizations have started rosters for Sideswipe, and new teams have also been formed. Some of the biggest teams have been Aphelion Esports, Team Mystic, QcL, 404 and Partisan Esports.
The game is still very fresh so these teams are just getting their bearings. But I am excited to see what future organizations come to Sideswipe and what teams will be formed. Here is a walk through of some of the biggest teams as of now.
Aphelion Esports
Aphelion is an organization that has a hold of Brawl Stars and some other big name mobile games. Being one of the biggest mobile game Esport teams, they have a great roster.
One thing I have noticed about these teams is a key decision.
Do we want to have a big, open roster? Or a small, invite only roster?
At the end of this article I will make known my personal opinion on which is better.
Some of their biggest names are Dave, Blossuhm and Fisci. Each with their strengths and weaknesses, but from what I have seen, these are all great players.
This is an exciting team with a growing fan base.
Team Mystic
Team Mystic is another great team, also coming from Brawl Stars.
Team Mystic has some good NA players, including Slwmoo. But they have a strong hold on the EU scene as of now, with 2 players already qualified for the 1v1 EU Masters. DerLotus420 and MT123. This roster also consists of Gus_gamer and Lonnas.
This will be an exciting team, especially leading up to the EU Masters.
QcL
QcL, also known as QuebecLegendz is a smaller group of some great players. This team consists of NA players including, Koldo, Banane and Ishlibidish and Emeric.
They have a few Top 16 finishes, and has a lot of strong players. This is a team I would look out for.
The Field
There are so many other teams that I could mention but these are the most familiar teams.
I am hoping that the Esports keeps going, and grows along the way.
Now to answer the question, big and open rosters? Or small, invite rosters.
I would stick with small teams. Get the best players you can and replace people when you need. I prefer smaller, RLCS style roster sizes.

Did I miss some other big name teams? Let me know and maybe I can write about them in the future!
